Description
All components are precision machined using tooling and fixtures designed by myself.
Operations included:
- Throttle body bored to 62mm, counterbore gasket pocket and 8º tapered opening
- Plenum bored to 62mm and counterbore gasket pocket
- Remachining of surfaces (4 surfaces)
- Symmetrical 1/2 shaft modification
- Spotface holes for better bolt tensioning (7 holes)
- New 62mm throttle plate with a .063″ thickness machined at a 7º angle (.050″ factory thickness)
- New Stainless fasteners (3 panhead machine screws)
- New acetal gasket which port aligns components
- New shaft seals installed
- Final assembly shipped ready to install
Maximum batch size machined at once will be 15 units. Resting of tools and machines is needed to maintain accuracy of final product. All materials used are sourced from North America.
Important Pre-shipping Requirements:
I do NOT clean or paint throttle bodies!!! PLEASE ship your throttle body and plenum as if you were to install it on the intake. I do NOT machine plated parts due to chipping! Paint, polish or powder coat before shipping. Slight over spay is not an issue as surfaces will be machined during service.
You will need to send the following parts:
- throttle body
- plenum
- shaft and retaining plate
- M8 studs and nuts to secure parts together
Disassembly Instructions:
- Screws holding plate to shaft will need to be filed down as they were “upset” at the factory. They should unscrew easily, do not damage your shaft buy forcing them out!!!
- Shaft should slide out of the throttle body; do not force it out!!! Deburring slot and tapped holes will free it up.
- Box it up with bubble wrap and packing chips, hopefully I can reuse your materials for return shipping.
